Tears

from the ABC set The Worries of a Confused Teenager

I lie my head on your chest,
hoping you wont notice,
the tears running down my face.
Am I a disgrace?

The words don't seem to make it,
up into your eyes,
you stop and you listen,
without a trace of despise.

My guilt falls freely,
with all the thoughts in my head,
you sort them into piles,
they're all gone and said.

Without you I'm broken,
a poet lost for words,
a silence led deep,
right beneath the earth.
