i turn
to walk into
the muddied recesses
of my mind;
there i find you.
i speak but
you do not answer,
i smile but my face
falls into darkness,
i exhale and
ice forms in the air;
i scream to ignite
and burn until ashes
fall at your feet
which now shackles
my opaque mind.~
