"The Hinge's Bareness"

from the ABC set ∙love is the wine

Given opportunity

dwindling,

Slowly dwindling.

Flower bursts

from bud to bloom,

then beginning to

drop her petals;

Opportunity's door

is sadly closing.

Joy's dying,

petals lie beneath

two, two way hinges.

A full heart searches

for the necessary

one way

to replace

the two

which has begun

its breaking.

Joyous memories

are heard in the

unhinging but

change to

the melancholy

as the strike plate

is removed

and left bare.

Crying bareness

looks at left print

and wonders:

A door is either

a one or

two way hinge;

so very simple,

why not I?
