a response to the poem below
i stand back in awe as you smile
you soar so beautifully, my darkest angel
i suspect that this is not the first time
and that i am not your first.
yesss, i am close to lifelessness
drained of all emotion as this baptism continues.
the metronome continues to tick and tick and tick my untimely
each demanding tick consumes yet another precious drop of my lonely life force.
this gift is willingly given as i embrace your everything
your everywhere as i slip away but at life's highest cost.
wait, that is right, i have no life, it was taken centuries
you smile so radiantly as you feel my breath
as you know the true end is swiftly approaching.
you lean forward as i softly whisper
?your wish was my command
?you have learned life's lessons well my love
?use them not only on the unsuspecting but to deceive the
one's you wish to submit.
?life's elixir is nearly depleted, just a few breaths left
?take my hand and look lovingly into my undead eyes
?bathe there one last time r e m e m b e r i n g all, f e e l
i n g all
sad eyes well with tears as their unspoken beauty whisper
leave me not alone in this god foresaken place take me with
as i began to die, your fingers tenderly touched each line on
as you burned my image into your contours.
since you knew i must make this journey adeen
you quietly began to sew yourself into my shadow
so that you could remain my dark reflection
you could be with me in each place i went
you could hear every sound i made
and divinely dwell in the obscurity
that would surround me
?that could have surrounded us.

slowly come here?
look into my prominent eyes.
can you see your reflection?
for the first time?
the depths of my being
frighten the promise of your existence.
by taking my distilled hand
the spell is broken
into tiny punitive pieces of fear
each minute ticks by in the metronome of time.
you've learned to deceive
a gift with different faces
but hear the sound of the
the misconception is your shadow.
have taken you by surprise
a whisper in the dark
I shed light on your nebulous cloud
each day ticks by in the metronome of time
you seek my pain
do my thoughts suffice?
Yes, drink all of me..
as I prepare a picnic of sorrow.
the winds breathe of you
the trees dance to our tune of sanctity
my destined concubine?
listen to the
as each year ticks by in the metronome of time.
Am I now lifeless?
Or do I live in your temple?
As sacred as it may seem
fickled thoughts seep out pores
like a baptism of reminiscence
we have been here before
and once again you are Everywhere
you are Everything
you are a part of me
am your shadow.
as a lifetime ticks by in the metronome of time.
