pink book

I have just finished an MA in Creative and Critical Writing and I'm passionate about reading and writing books for children and young adults. I like to joke that I'm the World's Oldest Teenager. (apart from the cast of 'Grease', of course) When I'm not writing, I love music of all kinds, cooking, films, good coffee (with or without cake) camping, swimming and spending too much money on Amazon and in charity shops. I an a great admirer of Cathy Cassidy's work, particularly the way her books explore what it's like to feel different. Other than that, I read like crazy; from Chris Higgins, Karen McCombie , Lisa Yee and Sarah Dessan to Roddy Doyle, Fay Weldon, Nick Hornvby and Diana Evans. I listen to the radio more than I watch TV- it's good excerise for my imagination. I'm a bit of a Bohemian cliche: I burn inscense, wear floaty scarves and an awful lot of pink.
