After studying fine art at Chelsea College of Art I worked mainly in the field of disability arts but also spent 15 years teaching prison inmates and young offenders. I used to practice and exhibit my own artwork too but for various reasons I'm not able to do much anymore and as I need to create in order to retain a semblance of sanity then I need to find another outlet like writing which doesn't come nearly as easily to me. I can't write about flowers and trees, birds and animals, seasons and stuff - and if I ever use a metaphor it's usually by accident so bear with me please.
