PABD

I really should share this with everyone.

Even though it's possible to purchase my book, Cab Driver, with a credit card, a friend of mine attempted to pay for it through PayPal, but without setting up a PayPal account. It didn't work, of course, so he gave up on the idea and I promised to get a copy for him.

He's just told me that he received an e-mail from Andrew of PABD inquiring as to why he backed out of the transaction and if there was anything he could do to help.

To my mind this exemplifies the professionalism of the company in that they are willing to go the extra mile to sell the book for the author. I'm not suggesting that PABD don't have a fiscal interest in the sale of the book; of course they do, but rather that the company "does exactly what it says in the tin."

Well done and thank you to PABD.

Sure, it's: http://store.pabd.com/kwiggins However, although that's the direct link, it's a lot more interesting right now to visit: www.binnaclepress.com They've made me Book of the Month, and although you can read the first chapter for free on PABD, you can read more information (bio etc.) on Binnacle Press, and from there you'll find a link to my PABD selling page by clicking on the book itself (on the Book of the Month page, not the homepage).

Another friend told me today that they attempted to order the book online but unfortunately their computer crashed, and again Andrew e-mailed them to ask why they didn't complete the transaction. Andrew hadn't spoken to me about either of these incidents, but PABD truly does seem to be very proactive in generating sales for the author.
