Publishers of verse?
Does anyone know of any publishers who might be interested in comic verse? I've done a fair bit of research into poetry publishing and can't find any! They all seem to want poetry that's serious, meaningful and hopefully non-rhyming. It's the same with most competitions too. It's starting to get me down, so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated...
I don't believe there's anyone who specialises in comic verse. Publishers really won't take whole books of poems from someone not published before in some form. This may sound impossible, but what it actually means is that you generally have to win a competition, which could lead to you being published in an anthology and then maybe consideration for a whole booksworth.
I suggest googling for comic poetry competitions.
I've just browsed through some of your verse and had a real good chuckle. I've emailed you with some info, which amnswers your question, and hope this is of use to you. Keep me posted!

Dear David Taub
Could I trouble you for the info. you gave Primate, please. I've been banging my head on a brick wall for what seems centuries - probably three years.
Sincere thanks in anticipation.
