The Kestrel and the Robin

Tingles ran down my spine and my ears pricked up as I heard a whooshing sound behind my back, follow by the rustling of lives and snapping of twigs.
I quickly turned my head around, jolted my back in surprise to see what was going on.
I’ve just witnessed a kestrel dive into the bushes with such commotion and grabbed its pray with its razor sharp talons.
It was a Robin from what I could tell, the poor little bird let out such a screech for its life as the kestrel flew off with its meal.

I can so relate to your observation. Had a similar experience in our back garden when a kestrel flew out of our bushes and took a pigeon. Very distressing for the poor victim.
You captured the scene well.
Jenny.
