Nothing flows like a rhyme
Nothing quickens like time
Nothing graceful as flight
Nothing precious as sight
Nothing sadder than age
Nothing darker than rage
Nothing good can be wrong
Nothing gladdens like song
Nothing quite like l’amour
Nothing worse than a war
Nothing wiser than truth
Nothing bolder than youth
Nothing tastes like a kiss
Nothing further amiss
Nothing more I can say
Nothing left of the day

There's a lot of merit in repetition. It really catches the eye and the ear and gives something that a more free form doesn't.
It's interesting how a thought can pan out.
Nice one to stumble on.
