The Season To Be Jolly

We get fed up with turkey and stuffing
For Christmas day lunch, I’m not bluffing
Though no one’s to blame
It’s always the same
So this year we might go for a puffin
While Christmas shopping at Merry Hill
The wife told me to take a chill pill
Cos I couldn’t believe
When we started to leave
The size of the credit card bill
I kissed my girl ‘neath the mistletoe
On Christmas eve with stars all aglow
I said, “Pretty please
And gave her a squeeze
She said, “Clumsy! You’ve stood on my toe”
One Christmas when full of good cheer
Drinking far too much whisky and beer
I sang happy noels
Thought I heard jingle bells
But ‘twas the cat’s tinkle bell I could hear
When Santa got stuck up the flue
There was quite a hullabaloo
He’d eaten the fries
Sweet puddings and pies
And imbibed too much of the brew
