After the Brawl

Late in the debate, Biden glanced at his wrist watch. How do we interpret this body language or is it so insignificant that it is not even worthy of analysis. The first mention of this moment came from the Republican spin. Checking the watch indicated that Biden was exhausted, ready to quit and thus lacks the resolve, stamina and resilience to be president. The Demo spin is that Biden was so far ahead in the contest that he was checking his watch to see how much longer the mismatch had to continue.....as in the Lakers with a 12 point lead with a minute left in the game looking up at the clock, reminding themselves to bear down yet anticipating and anxious for the celebration that comes with a critcal victory.
As far as I'm concerned, while on my couch, I happened to look at my watch at almost the same moment that Biden looked at his because I was wondering how the hell much longer is this thing going on? At the same time that I and Biden checked our watches, I went to the cableI guide and prayed that this debate was not going to stretch until 11. According to the guide, the debate was supposed to end at 10:30 and we looked at our watches at around 10:24. I was relieved that I had the energy, stamina and resiliency to make it until the end of the debate.
I felt urther relief when the moderator said "and I have one final question for both of you and you have one minute to respond. The official two minute warning. Trump went first applying his usual and intentional lack of eye contact with the viewers, which he disdains as being a move that "politicians make and he's not a politician. Biden stepped up....looked directly at the audience and answered the same question with confidence and clarity.
Ring the bell.....
Here comes Melania in five inch heels and Jill in more "sensible" shoes.
Sometimes a fight is won on the last punch of the last round. Some rounds are determined by the last punch of that particular round. You win the most round, you win the fight.
Biden won a majority decision.
Trump needed a knockout.
Let's get this election over with, I'm running out of patience.
I've already voted.
