A camper’s fireplace
built from helter-skelter
stones creates strength.
A blaze of flame
provides a meal of
brook trout in a pan
its aroma inviting-
a wilderness feast.
As nature and beauty
summon
wind rejoices
during a summer spell.
I am a proud brother to
woodsy solitude – I do not
succumb to fear
nor loneliness. I am
a freedom fighter for
this inviting landscape.

Richard - This poem makes me want to run off to Nova Scotia and partake in your 'wilderness feast.' Well done.
