Was at the Edinburgh festivals last week. Fantastic! Can't believe it's taken me so long to do it. On a writing note went to a book festival reading by John Burnside and Michael Redhill which was excellent, otherwise I went to places that were free and serving beer.
No points beyond that to be made. Just, "had a great time" and felt like (belatedly) sharing that ...

I was up there at the week-end...but didn't catch anything, left it too late, tried to go and see a few comedy acts but they were all booked up. Next year....it will be different.....it's a great city though, so enjoyed being there anyway...(luckily my mate lives up there so it isn't difficult to return)

I had a ticket for Jerry Springer - The Opera, apparently the hottest show in town (along with all the others). Unfortunately I was on a train south when it started as I had one of those super-advance-don'teventhinkofswitchingtrains tickets. Still, I'm sure it was rubbish(!)
