Farting with the Famous

Yesterday I took my family to Thame to a Children in Need event. The two Blue Peter presenters, Connie and Liz were also there and we queued for their autographs. Just as Liz was scribbling 'Happy Birthday Rupert' for my son he let go with a particularly noxious Thunderer. This was in the confined space of a small tent. Most of the other autograph hunters bent double and started retching, but Connie and Liz, with consummate professionalism and despite turning pale, continued as if nothing had happened. Ah, so that's why we pay our licence fee!
