Fans of book-group favourite Captain Corelli’s Mandolin should head along to the Scottish Poetry Library on Friday 23rd January for a rare opportunity to meet Louis de Bernières. The prize-winning author will be reading a selection of his favourite poems, talking about the writing that inspires him and inviting questions from the audience.*

Ask him why he hasn't joined ABCtales yet? We sponsored his talk at the Cheltenham Lit Festival a couple of years ago - I didn't go but a couple of others did and said he was an ace bloke - and the talk was excellent.
