Speed Cameras

So the Met. Pol. Com. has come out and openly accused police forces across the nation of using cameras to fleece drivers. He must be the only honest cop in Britain! An official report supports his claim with evidence that the worst 21miles of road in the country (as regards accidents) has only 6 cameras installed. Further more, one county with a spiralling motorcycle death-rate is installing further cameras that operate on oncoming traffic, when motorcycles don't have number plates on the front. The sooner the government scrap ALL of the bloody electronic highway men the better.

I have always contended that 98% of traffic cops and traffic wardens serve no useful purpose. The speed cameras simply introduce technology into an already worthless enterprise. OF COURSE it's all a fraud. It was designed to be a fraud from the start, perhaps by the people who manufacture the cameras!?!?!? In Poland there was/is a huge controvery about requiring cab drivers to charge VAT on taxi fares. The problem is that it will require each metered taxi to buy a new meter, at a substantial cost. Now, the government says that the cab drivers aren't paying their fare share of taxes because they simply pay a flat monthyly fee instead of a percentage of income (because they know that no one would actually report the income). However, instead of simply increasing the monthly fee, which is very low, to somehting more reasonable, they want to force all the drivers to spend £1500 on some new electronic meter to calculate VAT and thus tick off the passengers as well. My question was: which official is being paid off by the meter company??
