BBC "competition"

The BBC magazine recently featured a list of 101 new words, one from each of the last 101 years - mostly to do with music, fashion, warfare, sex. drugs, food and technology - and invited people to write a short story, max 150 words, using as many of these as possible (I used 51). It doesn't look like my effort's going to be printed there, so I'll let you lot have a read:

She was cool and hip, a megabucks celeb, she wore kitten heels, a green miniskirt with awesome hemline and Wonderbra showing her sexy applets. Blitzkrieg power dressing; my genes were in a tailspin!

“Fast food and coffee?” I asked.

“OK yah!”

I winced as she dunked her cheeseburger in the latte.

“Spliff or acid? Hippy buzz or psychedelic whizzo? Botox or detox?” I offered.

We boogied to the karaoke, tiddly-om-pom-pom. I danced the Bossa Nova like a cyborg with a microchip, but she could hip-hop to the beatbox.

“Will you be my gangsta toyboy, Big Brother?”

But my cruise missile was snafu, I was just a teddy bear in trainers.

“Cherrio, you peacenik punk!” she said.

She pissed off and left me with naff all but the blues; sudden death in the Big Apple.
