You'll have excuse me for bringing up something having to do with the writing of work here on ABC in this section.

Allison, I really enjoyed this story - the reason it was cherry picked is because it's a good one and it is well-written - if you are planning to do a re-write, the only thing that I could suggest changing is this -

"You've just got the horn, mate," Phil said. "It's soon wear off with the nappies and the puke. It's black mate, at first, it's horrible.

IT'LL SOON WEAR OFF .....

'It's soon' was probably a typo.
