old timers lead the way
just thinking about how the old timers of music are coming back lately with some excellent contemporary stuff.
David Bowie's latest single is outstanding (I've never been a fan but that track rocks!). Sting's latest is lovely, filled with asian rhythms and a great pace. I've just watched Blondie on TOTP2 and, alright she looks like Jack Palance these days but it's a great track.
I normally have to allow a little nostalgia licence when old timers try to take on the charts but these are just outstanding and everyone's digging their sh1t regardless of previous work...
or am I just getting old?
