This recurring incident occurs several times with me in the present. I am scolded by my mother when I return from the market because I missed a few things. She tells me that she had narrated a list of things which I should fetch from the market. “You don’t listen carefully” she says. I argue that she had not narrated some of the particular things in the list. She is not ready to accept. She is adamant and keeps on repeating she has done it. I am a cool customer and accept that it was my mistake. This solves the dispute.
“You don’t listen carefully” she says. This statement generated an electric impulse in my brain and I took a ride on the time machine and went into the year 2003.
The chronological moments of this day started flooding my brain. I was in second year of engineering. For practical all the students of a class were divided in three batchs. We had C++ practical. We had to complete a list of programs at the end of semester. We were doing one of them. It was 2 pm. This practical period was of one hour duration. I had studied C++ before. Most of them were layman to C++. I completed the program in half an hour and was sitting idle in front of the computer.
After some time a familiar voice called my name. I turned behind. He was one of the batchmates. His program was showing some programming errors. I went to him. I scanned his program from top to bottom. He had done everything write but it was not written in a proper syntax. A dot was missing. I added it and it did what it was supposed to do.
At once I said a statement “You don’t listen carefully”
It is a testimony that Nature Reciprocates.
