Broken

Blown away from mankind’s shore
by mankind’s drone, I lounge around
like plate-shards on the stony floor
of a taverna. Broken. Thrown.
The members shrug, reject and groan,
expecting to be shown a permit.
I’ve earned my moan, and trudge my moor
alone, a swamped and battered hermit.
