the spirit of man
By Baker Street
Throughout history we have found men who have sought a peaceful resolution to the conflict and strife of their time. Men who have served their people with teachings of love, hope and peace; men who strived after liberty, equality and justice for all; men of noble character and foresight. They placed the well-being of their fellow men above their own interest, and preached a message of peace and unity for all mankind. Often they would pay the highest price for their convictions; some would even pay with their lives. Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Steve Biko and John Lennon where all men of this character who were killed for their message of peace. Though their body may perish the principles which they stood for lives on. Their message of love and unity will continue throughout the history of man. They will always be remembered as those who had our best interests at heart; even those of their enemies. Their light and legacy lives on among us; the flesh may perish, but the spirit endures.
‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.’ Matthew 5:9
