Those Memories Made on Teardrop Lake – (65) An Indifferent Maiden in Distress (Part 03)
Greg was sitting at the kitchen table when Ellie returned and she looked at him to make sure she had his attention as she stood in the doorway where only he could see her then she turned around and wiggled her bum at him provocatively, Greg stared open mouthed and then when she had finished she walked into the kitchen and gave him a filthy leer just as Amanda walked in
“Oh for God’s sake are you two still winding each other up” she barked and went back outside.
“I’d better go” Ellie said
“And I think you had better come with me” he said and took her hand and pulled her into the downstairs loo
“What are you doing?” she said
“What I’ve wanted to do all day” he replied and kissed her
Greg was sitting on the toilet with Ellie sitting on his knee as they kissed and when it was over he said
“So have you finished with your bit on the side?” she asked as she stood up
“What do you mean?”
“Well that’s what I am” she said
“And I want more”
“What, your Mr Right you mean?”
“No, I don’t mean that” she snapped
“I’m not looking for Mr Right anymore”
“Really?” he said “Why not?”
“Because I’ve already found him”
“Oh” Greg said crestfallen
“And I’ve just been kissing him”
“Do you mean it?” he asked daring to hope
“Yes” she replied and buried her face in his chest
“Then we need to talk about it seriously, today” he said and kissed the top of her head
“But how can we?” she asked despairingly
“Well if you were to get a migraine then we can” he replied but she just looked at him blankly so he explained his plan.
So ten minutes later he was sitting in the kitchen again when Amanda walked unsteadily in from the garden and slurred
“I know you don’t like her Greg but could you please be a dear and take Eleanor home, she has a migraine”
“Of course” he replied
So he agreed to take Ellie home but he didn’t take her straight home, instead he drove her up to Teardrop Lake where they spent the next two hours discussing their future together.
Their biggest hurdle was telling Amanda, which they decided they shouldn’t do on her birthday, so they left it until the following weekend and the news was greeted with hugs and kisses because she had met someone on one of her trips to Sunderland and she had been trying to work up the courage to tell him for over a year.
So they were both able to start new lives.
