A Million Things
The universe has a great, big soul
that flew like a bird from a big, black hole
and scorched the dark with its flaming wings,
filling the void with a million things.
Like love and peace and sticky buns,
infinity and shiny suns,
a red balloon on a cool, blue sky,
a barge of flowers, passing by….
Then it sat at the top of a breadfruit tree,
as small a bird as a bird could be
and sang to the depths of a deep, dark hole
‘The universe has a great, big soul.’
