Johnson and Jalen

If you saw Jalen Mcdaniels walking down the street, you'd definitlely notice him. You'd be looking up towards the sky. Jalen is a 22 year old Black man who stands 6 feet 10 inches tall and with his Afro, he adds another two inches. He barely weighs 200 pounds.
If you guessed he was a professional basketball player, you'd be right. Jalen is making a name for himself with the Charlotte Hornets, particularly in the absence of Gordon Hayward whio is injured. Jalen is getting his shot.
Jalen's skin tone is a beautiful mahogany. You might notice that as well
You might also notice that Jalen has a flesh colored bandage under his eye. He was cut during a skirmish underneath the basket in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Jalen left the court to get patched up and he returned with a white stripe under his eye. You might notice the bandage because the flesh color doesn't match the flesh on the rest of Jalen. The bandage is definitely Caucasian colored.
What's wrong with this picture?
Why didn't they put on a bandage that matches Jalens skin color/?
Supposedly, Johnson and Johnson has produced a bandage that matches the skin color of mahogany people. The NBA is full of players of that shade. You mean to tell me that the NBA for all of its riches can't afford to order some dark skinned bandages to promote their use?
Another opportunity missed.
C'mon guys.
The league should have a full supply of such a product for just this reason.
Cody Zeller is a 7 foot Center for the Hornets. If Cody gets a cut, his bandage will blend in with his flesh and be far less noticeable. Cody is White and white.
Based on the numbers in the league, if the first aid resources of the NBA were in proportion to the number of black athletes who play the game and if they couldn't "afford' to have a variety of colors and they had to choose one, the darker flesh color would be the more more appropriate choice. Cody Zeller, if cut ,would emerge from the locker room with a brown stripe under his eye that would be every bit as noticeable as the white strip under Jalen's eye. It would be equally clashing and just as incongrous.
Johnson and Johnson came up with a great idea with the multi flesh colored bandages. This was a great opportunity to display their product.
Granted Johnson and Johnson has been quite busy of late and granted the viewing audience of the NBA is more white than black but still.
It's a little thing in this time of recovery but little things mean a lot.
I might be the only person who noticed this particular little thing just as obvious to me as if I saw Jalen walking down the street. We tiptoe around so much these days because we are still afraid, I'm afraid
