The Joy of Breathing

I can breathe without a rattle for the first time in twenty days
It's so easy to take breathng for granted as it becomes something that we can not somehow forget to do and is a habit we acquired as soon as th delivery doctor slapped us on the ass.
I've dabbled in yoga and meditation and enjoyed the highs that each of them bring but nothing equals the joy of simply sitting here and breathing clear while I type about the pleasure of breathing clear while I sit here and type and breathe. I had my doubts this was gonna happen again but it has.
The only remnant I have now of whatever I had is that I feel kinda dizzy at times but I chalk that up to all the hours of horizontal "living" that I've been hallucinating through over the duration of whatever that illness was.
I'll take the dizziness over the phlegm and suffocation any day. And what I will miss the least is the rattle and the wheeze which after awhile began to sound like screaming from within; audible only to my heart and soul.
So rejoice with me and if you can BREATHE don't take it for granted.
Celebrate, celebrate...breathe to the music..

It must have been very scary
It must have been very scary for you to have that feeling, not to easily breathe is a freightening feeling. I'm glad you came through it, whatever it was. The last three weeks I've battled flu symptoms with bronchitis and for me it is the coughing that will not go away, it is easing somewhat but I sill have fits of coughing and its annoying but it will pass, just not quick enough. It does help to write and keep a focus on something other than being sick -- so keep on writing
