We kinda dig darkness in Rochester

We get as little sunshine as any city in the States.

We're kinda used to danger in Rochester

Per capita, we're near the top in murders, bank robberies and car thefts.

So we're comfortable in the dark and familiar with danger. No wonder we love movies so much. We talk about 'em. We analyze 'em. We're good with old and new. Black and white is good so is silent, technicolor and 4k.

When it comes to movies, we're okay.

If you come from Venice ya know about canals.

If you're from Wyoming, you know about trails.

If you're from Mersey you know about ferries

If you're from Boys Town, you know about carries

If you're flaming you know about groovies

We're from Rachacha, we know about movies.

We're the true film capital of the world

Most of the films everybody has seen

Started here on a film making machine

Go years and years and decades back

The motion you see is all on Kodak.

So I built a campfire and for months we gathered near its light

Compaing and contrasting into the night.

Critics and cops, nurses and doctors

Dropouts, Drop ins, Propers and commons

Jacks of all trades, all movie scholars.
