November Sighing Lies About December (inverted Sonnet)
By ice rivers
To the safe harbor, your dreams and pillows.
Through that danger zone of naked willows
As your souls endure further incision
Until warm winter winds get home to you
Verse ricochets with ice cold precision
Not yes or no but ancient and true
Thrust headfirst into a frozen head start
Her December song lulls the pain from ache
Interpreting these snowflakes to my heart.
Be patient with the liberty I take
To illuminate the notions of youth
Perhaps temptation arrives by surprise
A voice so sweet could never tell the truth
I listen to November sighing lies
