OOOOHWEE Look at me
By ice rivers
OOOOHWEE. Look at me. It's three minutes after three and although I kinda have to pee, I'm still awake and feeling a little better every day. I even took my camera out for a spring spin. When I'm armed with my camera, I'm armed with an awareness of the beauty around me and the truth around that beauty. Nothing is to be taken for granted because miracles abound.
Tomorrow, I'm going out for the first time since the fatigue started. I'm going to a festival in Highland Park. Then I'm making my official return by going to the ballpark with my brother. Our home team is the Rochester Red Wings and they are setting up a surprise for me.
I've had tomorrow on my calendar for about a month now and my hopes are high.
It's May. I'm going with my bro to the ballgame. I'm goin' out with the crowd. I'm gonna have a couple of beers. I'm still alive. I'm awake. I've got a beautiful wife. The Mets are in first place. I've got to admit it's getting better.
OOOHWEE Looka me.
Cancer has its up and downs.
This is an up.
