The Pursuit of Free Beer

The sign outside the dive read "Free Beer Tomorrow".
I was near broke and of considerable thirst.
I took a seat at the bar at noon. I asked the bartender if the sign was for real.
He said "yup".
I chugged a Bud, paid five bucks and went on my way.
The next day I returned to the dive, once again at noon.
I asked for my free beer.
The bartender pointed to a sign above the bar. The sign said "TODAY".
I asked if today is today than when is tomorrow.
He said tomoorow was the day AFTER today. Come back tomorrow.
I came back the next day and once again it was TODAY.
Today never ended and tomorrow never came.
I kept paying for my beer and drinking more and more of it as if there were no tomorrow.
I missed a day.
I walked in the next day.
The bartender asked me where I'd been,
I gave him the honest answer, "nowhere''.
He said "you should have been here. Yesterday was tomorow."
