What a difference a year makes.
This was the same waiting room that I waited in a year ago to find out if my life was ending becuase of prostate cancer. The same aquarium...maybe even some of the same fish.
This time I'm not afraid. I got my blood work back yesterday. MY PSA is 1.6 which is a far cry from the 13 I walked in with.
Anything over 4 is considered dangerous.
The waiting room was completely packed.
When I got my call to go in the back room, I felt pretty good.
The nurse asked me the usual questions and told me Brian would be with me momentarily.
Brian was somebody I didn't know and he was definitely not Dr. Somebody.
A few minutes later Brian walked in and repeated the questions that the nurse asked me most of them about yearning, if you catch my drift.
How often did I yearn. How urgent was my yearning. How many times did I yearn at night. How forceful is my yearn? Did my yearning drip etc?
He told me that I was down to 1 and a half. He commented that was a long way from the Tiperrary of 13.
I asked him how close iWas tyo being terminal as relating to that number.
He said "We've seen a lot higher than thirteen."
I said "well, it's by the fat the highest I've ever even heard of".
He answered well "If it were a fish it would be a keeper"
MMMMMkkkkkaaayyy
So next he started with erections; a yearning of a different kind
I sensed an opportunity.
"Are you still getting erections?" he asked.
I said "Well the old semi annual erection has become the annual semi-erection"
He believed me.
"Would you like some free sample of Viagra?"
Duh
So today I am home, alive, low PSA, healthy blood prressure, low cholesterol and six hits of free Viagra.
I'd call this a prety good day.
