It was holiday time down at the coast, and old Moe was drifting lazily in the deep blue sea among all the holiday makers, out among the waves under the shining hot sun. He was getting on a bit in life, but still ventured deep into the surf, like he did when he was a young man. He was sporting a bit of a beer belly at his age, but otherwise he was still in good shape. He was at the last line of bathers deep in the water, and having had a few before he came swimming, he was just relaxing in the waves as they rose and fell in the eternal rhythm of the ocean. He was relaxed, and all the world was at peace. Closer to the beach young boys were surfing, and the youngsters were frolicking in the last line of small breaking waves, as they washed unto the sand and the shore. All the world was perfect under the blue sky above, as the seagulls flew and screamed a lonely cry overhead, but then suddenly the wind dropped, and all was deathly still, as there came a hush over the deep water off shore. Then the mighty beast rose from the deep, and snatched poor old Moe in his mighty tentacles, dragging him away to the deep. The bathers scattered and ran in panic, and there was chaos on the beach, as Moe disappeared from view, leaving only a gruesome blood trail behind, as he and the beast itself disappeared forever into the deep, gripped firmly in the tentacles of the monster. Soon the beach would be deserted, and only the wind and sea would be heard, rolling on without end.
