The Greatest Gift of All

When all was silent not a creature found
Neither worldly music nor earthly sound
Ringing of divine bells heard from afar
Truly! What a blessed people we are
Songs that praises and heaven rejoices
Shepherds with knees bent and raised voices
Hail and behold the presence of almighty
For a babe in a manger clothed in humility
In a night so clear a star so bright
This day foretold the time is right
The King has come, his birth announced
Faith and hope when his name pronounced
To cherish the lost, to comfort the sad
Make merry and may your hearts be glad
To cease the cries and make peace supreme
For it is true, not a dream
Though it happened some centuries ago
The hope remains the faith never to let go
Though times have changed seasons have passed
The gift of Christmas never ceases to lasts
