Out of the stony places,
grit dust and large boulders,
dry scaly skin, torn, ripped,
boney boned.
Yellow eyes crusted, dry from clenching out acid tears,
and the `pitiless sun`?
No it's just the sun-burning sun of a wilderness,
and `pity` is a blood filled emotion,
here harshness is the dry currency.
It's grey-green tongue flickers to catch the no-moisture in the haze,
Shade under a cactus,
the spines groan in ecstacy,
the `waiting for relief` is a blood filled summation.
Desert lizard is lizard-like, not expanding horizons.
