On ABC Tales there’s a group of core readers,
Who give up their time to read what we write,
Hats off to them for trying to lead us,
(It’s not like they’re paid for reading our sh!te).
But amongst all the rest of our ABC writers,
There’s some – well a few – well really a lot,
Who I’d have to say are right cheeky blighters,
Because writing they’re doing but reading they’re not.
Click on a name and their page will appear,
Then click the track tab and their secret is out,
The only poems and stories they’ve ever been near,
Are the ones that they’ve written – of the rest there is nowt.
Shame on you, shame on you, shame on you slackers,
Hang your heads low with the weight of disgrace,
I wish you a plague on both of your knackers,
Or a rash in a really embarrassing place.
(I must by the way make it perfectly clear,
It’s those who don’t read I’m getting at here,
Those who read but don’t comment can be of good cheer,
Of my plagues and my rashes you have nothing to fear).
