Man and his Faithful Friend
Aware of the savagery of this frozen terrain,
to pass through the eye of a needle...would
be easier than to convey this vast – pristine
expanse, a passage where wolves cry...for
this their arctic polar land, that cries for none,
their howls breathe fear into even the most
hardened – a testament to be reckoned...as
a storm leads them on in search of sustenance.
But for the bravery of man's faithful friend...
worth their weight in gold, solid – powerful,
never flinching from the task in hand, eager
to please their masters, the journey goes on,
the hostile land shows no mercy to the weak–
where no signs, or landmarks exists...only the
senses give awareness of recognition – driving
on regardless...man's humble servants to the end.
