Writing has always been a great love and release for me. If I believed in God, I would thank Him now, for the wonderful and challenging experiences He has thrown my way. But I don't. So I won't. All the rest is in my poems, an aborted translation of the new testament, and a currently (May 2016) unfinished biography of my father.

Cheers,

And happy travels.

This really feels like stand

Posted on Tue, 21 Jan 2014

This really feels like stand up comedy, ripe for performance. It is real and intelligent. I guess it is from a world I have not really been part of "the pub banter world", but I suppose, I sense, despite the humor, a little sadness. Maybe.

This comes directly from the heart, no pretence, the person has felt these things intensely, and has spoken with poetic eloquence and insight. It also highlights how destructive addiction can be, and that one should not throw around blame, as we...

blamed ‘them’ single-handedly for my academic failure

I then noticed my body hadn’t followed suit, and went back to join it.
A couple of gems from this piece.

It was wandering but highly taut prose....

Yeah, really nice

Yeah, really nice openmindedness and honesty, as well as intelligence. I feel like Belief in God is almost genetically predispositioned, and has very little to do with intelligence.

Interesting verse: small bite

Posted on Tue, 31 May 2016

Interesting verse: small bite size pockets of imagery.  I got from this a sense of understsnding of timidness around girls, and may think this is about relationships. The heavy paving slabs acting light, i wonder is the heart that is really heavy...
