I write these days a cacophony of genres: fantasy, sci-fi, mainstream, literary, some poetry every now and then. Novels, short stories, novellas, and whatever might fall in-between. I joined ABC Tales in May of 2014, and appreciate the forum it gives me to write and experiment, and even to include my strange little illustrations next to my work.
You won't see a lot of my stories published anywhere else just yet, but please check out a few of these sites:

There are also a few more stories, and a few ravings (I mean, blog entries) to be found on my website: www.rosaliekempthorne.name

A well-worked rhyme that doesn't ovewhelm the poem, and an evocative presentation of these two characters.

I like the rhythm this has, and the kind of inspirational note that it finishes on, which is built up towards over the course of the poem.

Lovely. Beautifully captured portrait of abuse and its scars. Those last lines finish it on a strong note.

Actually, on its own I think this poem says a lot. At least to me it speaks about the analysing and over-analysing of literature/art until its leached of all its beauty and whatever it's really trying to say. Tidily and cleverly expressed.

Love it! The rhyming and rhythm are first rate, and it's hilarious. But is this a bit more about the kind and mind of a male than I ever needed to know? I may never look at one in quite the same way again...

Beautiful stuff. As soon as I caught that bit about the 'drunken filigree of midnight', I knew i had to read this poem. It's power-packed and full of energy and evocative, challenging writing.

Nice, well written. Getting the rhythm and rhyme to come together naturally, and with a point to make, without sounding at all forced is not an easy task.

Ooh, perfect. So much to like in here, just this great collection of perfect little mini-descriptions of life. An excellent of "jingle of words" indeed.
