All the sheep looked just the same
Their fleece had the very same tint
The same touch, the same scent
Each one was precise his brother
Then in the spring a wonder happened
A strange lamb was born in the flock
He smelled like his brothers he felt like them
But his fleece was a black as coal
At first they all accepted him
He was, they knew it, their brother
He was also something so strange and new
In everything a complete wonder
He was given the softest grass
In the storm the most safe place
Then alas misfortune came
and changed this perfect picture
The soft green grass changed to a hard brown
There was no water to be found
No rivers or streams no secret wells
It was a curse from god
Where lay this curse they asked themselves
The answer lay for the hand
The strange new sheep he was a cursed one
They drove hem clean away
In the next few years there were many more
They all found a similar fate
But evolution will not be stopped
And the change was here to stay
A mutated gene had become
the normal one in the scheme of things.
