For Sigmund 1856-1938

from the ABC set My ABC set number two

In the chilling reality of my mind
Solitary and strange worlds I find
Where monsters dwell with eyes of fire
No place to hide my hearts desire

In the chilling reality of my mind
I die endless deaths of a cowards choosing
No place to run no place to hide
In this desert of solitude I must abide

In the chilling reality of my mind
The darkness turns oft to brilliant light
No shadows abound where I may stray
Nay now must I face the light of day
Consumed by sick and wild desire
I bathe me now in St. Elmo's fire
