Wishful Thinking
To be a minstrel is my wishful thinking,
roaming the earth and singing,
to the tune of my 'ektara' (one string instrument)
spreading messages of love and peace.
The air
the water
and the land
tremble in fear,
from the fumes of hatred and anger
of the few,
who cannot create
another
safe and clean
'Mother Earth'.
