Liberace reminds me of a fish
I cannot tell you why.
Perhaps it was his shiny face, the shape of a cod's
curved mouth, one big scale over another.
Perhaps it was his shining coats, his sparkling diadems.
Perhaps it was his manner
Perhaps
But nonetheless, he had a mother.
Just as fish do.
