Oh yes, in me there’s scope for play –
I am the simplest shape; I am
sharp geometry. Sharp-edged. Pointed.

I am the other, to the you and the me,
the one that upsets our simple geometry.
I am the person that stands to one side
and watches – watches you and me.
The one that you flash a glance at –
a brief, fixed, meaningful stare.

I am the lever that you can use
to frighten me – the power of third, of
the distant other.
Oh yes, and yet, I am the trinity,
the tree to your Adam and my Eve,
the mind that completes the spirit and the I,
the prism that breaks up the light
to show its hidden rainbow.

I stand in secret attendance, a unity, at the inner birth
when single seed and single egg absorb, unspoken,
to be held within the triangle of love
for 3 times 3 crescents of the moon.

a sharp piece of writing. Especially liked the final stanza & "I stand in secret attendance". Margot

'the prism that breaks up the light
to show its hidden rainbow' - excellent imagery!

And overall a beautifully crafted piece.
