Well done, my sweet
- so very well done.
I'm so proud of you, not just for what you've achieved but for what you are. It's amazing.
I can't really see this sodding keyboard
or screen through all these sodding tears.
I won't go on - I don't want to embarrass you -
but for me you'll always be a star -
you always have been - not just for what you've
done but for what you are.
'N I'll always be in your debt
because you have the heart and the grace
to have given your broken dad
another chance.
You're free now to hurt,
to be, to cry with joy,
to find your pot of gold,
to chase your rainbow,
to explore all the spectrum that is in you,
and find that special resonance
with someone
who speaks to you
deep inside.

I think that the achievements of your kids is far more moving that any that you may have achieved for yourself. I know that when mine win a cap or make their business really work or make it big time in the French ski world - and those are no mean feats - then I just well right up and weep. That they make it when it's just so tough is fantastic. Ah, pride comes before a downfall!
