When to stop
The place to start is the toes,
for they can make a spicy beginning;
then work your way up, taking care with the bones,
then the other foot, and so to the knee,
first the left side, and then the right,
or, indeed, should you prefer,
the right and then the left.
From this point,
flexibility can be a problem,
so an instrument can be applied -
to the buttocks first and then the upper legs, and so,
through the abdomen and around the torso,
and then, if you wish,
all, in the judicious application of the implement.
The groin, or crotch,
can be savoured around this time.
This can be followed with the fingers,
something of an equal delicacy,
and the arms, all the way to near the shoulder.
Eating is always a pleasure
the difficulty, as so often, is in knowing when to stop,
particularly when, as in this case,
consumer and consumed are one.
