Harmony

Meditating in the company of nature
soothes my jaded soul.
In voyeuristic silence, I spy on squirrels
scrambling and somersaulting in exhalation of summer.
Observing the stealth of a young deer
stepping carefully amongst the bushes,
nibbling on some while rejecting others,
as if sending an errant dish back to an
unseen chef.
I listen to the symphony of leaves
and the tinkling of a stream
on it's journey to oblivion,
and I experience harmony at last.
