Though love which easy comes can easy go
That pain-free whirl of passion that I feel
For you, did come up quick and stay so long.
To me, it seems as though this love is real.
The hollow of your hand, it holds my soul.
I give my heart to you to safely keep.
But if my gift begins to take its toll
And longing for elsewhere is running deep. . .
Well, though cliched, the saying does ring true.
Your love is better if it's soaring free.
If no return, I never did have you.
If you come back, forever mine you'll be.
So love, if freedom's truly what you crave
Then go, and I will wait until my grave.
