Shooting Star

Tonight I saw a shooting star
And wished
upon with childish hope
As its beauty faded from
the
Midnight sky in a momentary
flash
Of white
brilliance.
My thoughts still
lingered on the scene,
As if the star was sent to
remind me:
&;quot;Whatever happens in this time so
short
Never surrender your
dreams.&;quot;
And so what
seemed so hopeless
In the past was conquered
with
A smile, and the chance
the
Future will bring to say
I love
you.
For hopeless is a condemning
word.
If the star gave me
New hope,
new light and new love,
It surely gives
me
A new meaning to live.
