You are who you are

You are a thousand words floating in a brain,
sometimes riddles, anagrams, complications,
confusion.

Some days you are angry at the trees and the
birds. Sometimes songs don't sound right or
the lyrics piss you off because they're too perfect.
Sometimes you feel like the radio is involved in a
conspiracy to invade your thoughts.

Some days you swear too much , sometimes charity
doesn't cross your mind in twenty four hours.
Some days are better than others, sometimes reality
can steal your thunder. Sometimes feelings are hard
to convey, sometimes the stars almost bend to touch
the ground- on good days.

You are a thousand words floating in a brain,
sometimes riddles, anagrams,complication,
confusion.

Some days the roads seem unending and sometimes
tea doesn't solve all of your problems. Sometimes
you're stupid and things get on top of you, sometimes
you neglect your friends in favour of a night in front
of the telly. Sometimes life and death seem indifferent
Living to die, not such a blessing?- on bad days.

You are a thousand words floating in a brain,
sometimes riddles, anagrams,complication,
confusion.

You are who you are.

It's great to see something new from you, Beeme! I love the longer lines in this one and these especially:

'sometimes the stars almost bend to touch
the ground- on good days.'

and

'Some days the roads seem unending and sometimes
tea doesn't solve all of your problems.'

The repetition works really well to help the poem flow - seriously well done on this one ;)

Many, many congratulations on the cherry, Beeme. I read this earlier and didn't have time to comment.

I can only echo what Magic says. A wonderful poem;-)

‘Sometimes you feel like the radio is involved in a
conspiracy to invade your thoughts.’

These lines are so true. Whenever I have something on my mind it seems everything around me is trying to remind me of my problems. I guess the trick is to REFUSE to allow it entering your mind and heart. Sometimes that doesn’t work of course...

A wonderful poem. Well done.

I really enjoyed this. It's powerful and true, and though deep it doesn't delve into angst or depression, just a subtle reflection. and good for your age (but you prob hear that all the time though)

Also noticed you're looking for trying dialogue. If you ever need any help feel free to ask me or some other people around the site.

we be here to help...yarg.

I've got to agree with everything said about this piece so far, Beeme - this is absolute brilliance.

Everyone else has already said what I would've said about this - the stars bending to touch the ground is such a beautiful image, this is definitely one of the best things I have ever read, and I too have been sure at times, especially of late, as it happens, that the media are infiltrating my thoughts and emotions!

This is one of my favourites on here now, so thank you for that! A really admirable poem, well done on the cherry :)
